Overview

Lambda Technologies Laboratory Services operates a world-class laboratory, and is the preeminent source of residual stress analysis worldwide. Lambda has been providing accurate and reliable x-ray diffraction material testing services for aerospace, automotive, nuclear, medical, power generation, railway, defense and other industries since 1977. Lambda offers a broad array of x-ray diffraction and fluorescence testing capabilities for materials applications, primarily in the areas of qualitative and quantitative phase analysis, and texture determination.

Lambda provides unique x-ray diffraction, finite element (FE), and mechanical methods for the study of residual stress formation. Process optimization and surface integrity studies can be performed to determine the manufacturing parameters required for optimal fatigue properties and stress corrosion characteristics. Our fully equipped fatigue lab with six high cycle fatigue machines, and machine shop with modern CNC machines, supports the surface integrity studies.

Lambda is accredited by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditations (A2LA) in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025. Lambda designs and develops its own measurement instrumentation, data collection and data reduction software. The methods and instrumentation, which are most appropriate for the expedient and accurate gathering of research data, will be employed in all cases, whether commercially available or developed internally. Lambda’s comprehensive testing and engineering services provide a total solution to our customer.
