Job Title: Machinist Apprentice

Position Type: Full Time

Job Description:

The machinist apprentice will work with a wide array of machine tools such as saws, mills, lathes, drill presses, and surface grinders. They will use measuring and hand tools such as micrometers, indicators, calipers, height gages, surface plates, gage blocks, wrenches, pliers, files, deburring tools, scales, squares, and protractors. They will learn to operate conventional machine tools to manufacture or alter components per engineering drawing, sketches, or verbal instruction from the department supervisor and/or other officers of the company (typically Quality Assurance or the Director of Engineering). The machinist apprentice will be trained to operate our unique LPB processing equipment and should be capable of documenting operations and inspections on appropriate forms, performing routine maintenance on machine tools, and performing housekeeping duties. Ability to read engineering drawings and machine shop experience is a plus.

Job Title: Project Manager

Position Type: Full Time

Job Description:

Manage the development, planning, and coordination of design and manufacturing implementation projects for the application of the LPB process on specific high value components. Management duties include preparing and following a detailed project plan, and interfacing with our engineering and technical staff to ensure meeting the technical requirements. Maintain customer communications and negotiate customer requirements. Monitor and maintain program delivery schedules and budget. Writing of periodic and final reports, and presentation of results to customers.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree (or equivalent related experience).
  • Experience as a Project Manager with related customer interactions highly desirable.
  • Experience in automotive, biomedical, aerospace, turbo-machinery, power generation, or nuclear industries is desirable.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project software is highly desirable.
  • All potential candidates must successfully pass a written aptitude test.

Job Requirements:

  • Government contract experience a plus.

Job Title: Laboratory Technician - Materials Testing

Lambda is seeking an entry-level first shift technician for sample preparation, strain gaging, electropolishing, x-ray diffraction measurement, mechanical testing and general lab support. This position is located at our materials testing facility in Fairfax, Ohio. 

Job Requirements:

  • Associates Degree in engineering, physics or chemistry
  • Previous experience in any of the following areas highly desirable:
    • X-Ray Diffraction
    • Mechanical Testing
    • Strain Gaging
    • Electropolishing
    • Electroplating
  • Must be willing to take on multiple assignments, prioritize and complete on schedule
  • Training provided
