Job Title: Project Coordinator

Job Description:

The Project Coordinator is responsible for managing various tasks involved in the overall development, planning, coordination, and reconciliation of multiple design and manufacturing implementation projects. Duties include preparing, coordinating, and maintaining a detailed project plan. Interface and coordinate with internal engineering and technical staff. Ensure technical and project deadlines are met. Maintain positive customer communications and negotiate customer requirements via phone, fax, mail and e-mail. Monitor and maintain program delivery schedules and budget. Write periodic reports and presentations of results to customers.

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Associates or Bachelors Degree or equivalent related work experience is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in automotive, biomedical, aerospace, turbo-machinery, power generation, or nuclear industries is desirable
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project software is highly desirable.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen per government contract regulations.
  • Evaluate field installations and recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions and optimize performance.

Job Title: Tool Designer

Position Type: Full Time/Exempt

Manages Others: No

Job Description:

Designs complicated tools, jigs, and fixtures. Works from process sheets and parts prints. Studies parts prints and operation sheets to design tooling for maximum economy of operation consistent with machine limitations, quantities to be produced and close tolerance specifications. Requires thorough knowledge of manufacturing methods and machine shop practices, a sufficient knowledge of mathematics to solve design problems, the ability to originate ideas and incorporate them into design, and utilize computer aided design techniques to perform applicable design work.

  • Research and analyze tooling system requirements, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application
  • Develop and define final tooling requirements
  • Create and maintain tooling development project plans including costs and schedules.
  • Plan and direct personnel in fabrication of LPB tooling and the development of methods and processing procedures.
  • Direct and coordinate fabrication and installation of tooling to ensure systems conform to engineering design and customer specifications.
  • Develop operation, maintenance, and repair procedures to obtain optimum utilization of tooling and equipment.
  • Design tooling to interface with machines, hardware, and software.
  • Evaluate field installations and recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions and optimize performance.
  • Provide timely technical and schedule inputs for status reports, proposals and quotations.
  • Oversee the implementation of manufacturing processing.
  • Other related duties as directed.

Job Requirements:

  • Associates degree, or four years of experience, relating to tool design and machining
  • Experience as a Tool Design Engineer with related customer interactions highly desirable
  • Experience in automotive, biomedical, aerospace, turbo-machinery, power generation, or nuclear industries is desirable 
  • Facility with Solid Works and SURFCAM is highly desirable
  • Candidates must possess a strong desire to work in a highly dynamic, fast growth environment
  • Must be a US citizen per government contract regulations

Job Title: Laboratory Technician - Materials Testing

Job Description:

Lambda is seeking an entry-level first shift technician for sample preparation, strain gaging, electropolishing, x-ray diffraction measurement, mechanical testing and general lab support. This position is located at our materials testing facility in Fairfax, Ohio. 

Job Requirements:

  • Associates Degree in engineering, physics or chemistry
  • Previous experience in any of the following areas highly desirable:
    • X-Ray Diffraction
    • Mechanical Testing
    • Strain Gaging
    • Electropolishing
    • Electroplating
  • Must be willing to take on multiple assignments, prioritize and complete on schedule
  • Training provided
