1977: Lambda Research founded as an accredited, independent laboratory, specializing in x-ray diffraction and related methods of materials testing.
Lambda Technologies was founded in 1977 as Lambda Research by Paul S. Prevéy, III and Professor B. D. Cullity, author of "Elements of X-ray Diffraction," as an accredited, independent laboratory, specializing in x-ray diffraction and related methods of materials testing. Lambda Research focused on the areas of residual stress measurement, texture analysis, and quantitative phase analysis of polycrystalline metallic and ceramic materials. These services are now incorporated into Lambda Technologies - Laboratory Services.
2000: Surface Enhancement Technologies, LLC (SET) formed to implement and field Lambda developed solutions into the business world.
In 2000, the Surface Enhancement Technologies, LLC, division was created to implement Lambda developed solutions into the business world. In 2004, Lambda Research created Lambda Technologies and formed a unified company with three distinct divisions.
2004: Lambda Technologies created to provide a world class x-ray diffraction testing facility and a multi-faceted engineering and production enterprise.
In 2004, Lambda Research created Lambda Technologies and formed a unified company with distinct divisions. Each organization offers specialized capabilities, and all three are focused on the pursuit of excellence.
Lambda Technologies is now working with partners around the world to offer complete surface enhancement solutions. Clients include NASA, NAVAIR, the Italian military, Delta, U.S. Steel and more. LPB technology is also approved by FDA for use on medical implants and accepted by the FAA for the repair and alteration of commercial aircraft components.
